January 2007 Issue
Dear Reader,
Happy New Year!
Integrative Nutrition's mission is to play a crucial role in improving the health and happiness of Americans, and through that process to create a ripple effect that transforms the health of the world. This means that we are not just a school. We are agents of change.
In 2007 we will become more politically active. Last year we helped get a law passed to ban trans fat from New York City restaurants. Now we are working on our campaign for a Trans Fat Free USA. Later this year we will mobilize our community to speak out about genetically modified foods and, most importantly, school food.
Our supplements are also a key part of our mission. True health comes from good nutrition, but supplements can play a beneficial role. Drug companies are taking over and selling supplements for big profits. They are becoming luxury items that average people cannot afford. That makes no sense. Our country is in a crisis. Good health should be affordable to everyone. So we are getting the word out about our inexpensive, high-quality supplements that can benefit everyone, especially lower income people.
At the heart of our mission are individuals like you—creative, enthusiastic, intelligent people who believe that by working together we can create a happier, healthier world. We are dedicated to empowering each student in our Professional Training Program to fulfill his or her potential, make a powerful difference in the world and earn a great income.
Integrative Nutrition is a unique organization with an energy all its own. I'm always excited year-to-year to see where we are going next. 2007 is going to be an amazing time for our community. If our mission intrigues you, we'd love for you to join us.
